Welcome to our website! The Central Region is one of four geographical regions that comprise the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lafayette, Louisiana. We are located in southwest Louisiana in the heart of Acadiana, an area rich in faith, tradition, history and culture.
On the following pages, the Central Region offers events and ministries that hopefully will touch your hearts and transform your lives. You are always welcome and invited to join us as we step out in faith, in prayer and in service to serve God’s people.
Through programs like “Food for the Journey”, “Opportunities for Confession”, the “Central Region Workshop Series”, “Holy Hour for Vocations”, “Prayer Calendar for Priests”, “Divine Mercy Sunday”, “R.I.S.E. (Rising in Service to Everyone)” and more, we pray that you are able to find opportunities to help you deepen your faith and encourage others to do the same.
We also invite you to visit the websites of our church parishes and our Catholic schools. There you will see faith in action … clergy, religious and laity working together to build God’s Kingdom and to spread His Word. The Central Region is a great place to be!
